If your JAC Delhi 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment statusshows "No Seat Allotted", do not be discouraged. Historically, Round 1 cutoffs are the highest because all registered candidates compete for seats. Many seats open up in subsequent rounds as candidates withdraw to join IITs/NITs through JoSAA. This guide explains how to manage your counselling now.

Find Round 2 Matches →Do I need to pay any fee or report physically?
No. Candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round 1 do not need to take any action right now:
- You do not need to pay the ₹95,000 seat acceptance fee.
- You do not need to report to any reporting center or college campus.
- Your registration will automatically move to Round 2 without any extra application fee or action.
Understanding the Choice Modification Window (June 26 - June 28)
JAC Delhi allows candidates to modify, add, or delete choices before Round 2 allotment results are declared. The window will open from June 26 to June 28, 2026. This is a crucial opportunity. If your choices are too restrictive, you might miss out on a seat again.
What changes can you make?
- Add new branches or colleges that you did not include during initial registration.
- Rearrange the order of your existing choices.
- Remove choices you no longer want to participate in.
Strategies to Get Allotted in Round 2
- Analyze Round 1 Cutoffs: Once official JAC Delhi Round 1 opening/closing cutoffs are released, compare them with your JEE Main CRL rank. This will give you an idea of how close you are to getting allotted.
- Add Backup Options: If you only filled top branches like CSE and IT, consider adding ECE (Electronics & Communication), EE (Electrical Engineering), or MAC (Mathematics & Computing) at DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW.
- Check DSEU and USAR: Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) has relatively lower cutoffs and is a solid option for securing a B.Tech seat if your rank is in the mid-to-lower range.
- Keep Your Top Preferences High: Do not move lower cutoff branches to the top of your list just to get any allotment. Place your absolute dream options first, followed by realistic backups. The JAC Delhi counselling algorithm will automatically try to match your highest-ranked choice first.
