JAC Delhi Registration 2026 — How to Register
Entering the Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi B.Tech admission process begins with completing the online registration form. This page provides a complete walk-through of registration fees, eligibility criteria, document requirements, and common errors to avoid during submittal.
1. Eligibility Criteria for Registration
Before paying the registration fee, check if you satisfy the primary eligibility requirements set by the participating universities (DTU, NSUT, IIITD, IGDTUW, and DSEU):
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
- Minimum Marks: For DTU, NSUT, and DSEU, candidates must secure at least 60% aggregate marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). For IIIT-Delhi, the minimum aggregate is 70% in PCM, and at least 70% in Mathematics. Relaxations of 5-10% apply for reserved categories.
- JEE Main Requirement: Must have appeared in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 and have a valid Common Rank List (CRL) rank.
2. Step-by-Step Registration Process
- Access the Portal: Visit the official portal at jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in and click on "New Registration".
- Enter JEE Main Details: You will be prompted to enter your JEE Main 2026 Application Number, Roll Number, and Candidate Name. The system will pull your scores and CRL ranks directly from the NTA database.
- Pay Registration Fee: Pay the non-refundable counselling participation fee of ₹1,500 plus service charges using credit/debit card, netbanking, or UPI.
- Fill Personal & School details: Provide your contact details, select your state region quota (Delhi or Outside Delhi based on school location), and select your categories.
- Upload Documents: Upload clear PDF scans of your Class 10/12 marksheets, category certificates (OBC-NCL/SC/ST/EWS/PWD if applicable), and domicile certificates.
3. Important Registration Fees
Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹1,500. Note that if you are allotted a seat in any round, you must pay the seat acceptance fee (~₹95,000) online to prevent cancellation of allotment.
4. Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Incorrect Quota Selection: Delhi quota (85% seats) is determined by where you completed your Class 12 school, NOT where you live. If your school is in Delhi but you reside in Noida, you are still eligible for the Delhi Quota.
- OBC-NCL Certificate Format: OBC candidates must ensure their certificate is issued after March 31 of the admission year (e.g. after March 31, 2026) and strictly complies with the central list/NCT Delhi list requirements.
- Typo in JEE Roll Number: Carefully double-check your roll details, as errors can prevent pulling your rank data.
